Artist's Description
I was listening to a show about Death as a woman and it got my artist brain buzzing. I have a few portraits of Death or the Grim Reaper as a woman. Check out my other portraits of Death. This one has haunting black eyes and her skin seems to be decaying. Her long, beautiful black hair is a nod to Morticia Addams. I don't know, I imagine she would've put her resume in for the job of Death and been a remarkable comfort to the souls she ferried across.
This Death has only known her job and is waiting patiently for you and will be there when it is your time.
About Allie Lily
I am a watercolor artist and photographer in the Pacific Northwest of the USA. When I'm not painting or taking pictures I can be found building the Seattle skyline. I love to connect while painting by really studying my subject and capturing the soul of a place with my Daniel Smith watercolors, which are also made right here locally in Seattle. My photography started as a way to enhance my watercolors by having better reference photos and friends of mine told me that I should showcase those as well. I hope you take the time to tell me which piece of mine you like the most and why.
